PROJECT DESCRIPTION — Modul is a multi-functional piece of furniture designed by Chris L. Halstrøm for A. Petersen using Søuld Upholstery Mats. Modul is a daybed, a sofa, a chair and a lounge module which can be put together or used individually. The simple oak or mahogany wood frame is paired with Re-wool fabric or leather upholstery, and filled with either hairlock or Søuld eelgrass mats. “The eelgrass makes for a very firm and rigorous cushion, which is perfect if you want to sleep or take a nap,” says Halstrøm. “The depth of the piece also has the pedagogical effect of encouraging movement and invites you to pull up your legs.”
