PROJECT DESCRIPTION — In our collaboration with designer Tom Dixon Søuld Acoustic Mats were repurposed as upholstery in his famous Bird chaise.
The chair was used in his recent show Tom Dixon Twenty in Milan. Tom Dixon wanted to see if they could use Søuld as a substitute to petrochemical-based materials in their iconic Bird rocking chair - the bold sculptural foam providing a simple platform to test the comfort qualities of this promising new use for traditional material.
